| Shameless Heidi is an intense field dog and comes from some of the most distinguished and celebrated German Shorthaired Pointers (Deutsch Kurzhaar) of the nineteenth, twentieth, and twenty-first centuries. Shameless Heidi was sired by National Field Champion LB’s Ohi Shameless, and her dam is Grassy Valley Annie. Within her recent ancestry are also renowned dogs such as Field Champion Dixieland Rusty (the leading sire of Shorthair Field Champions), Dual Champion Hidden Hollow’s Ronlord Ruler, National Field Champion Thalberg’s Seagraves Chayne, Dual Champion Gold West Chucko, Dual Champion Oxton’s Minado von Brunz, Dual Champion Oxton Bride’s Brunz v. Greif, Dual Champion Cede Mein Dolly Der Orrian, the prepotent Champion Adam von Fuehrerheim (the leading sire of Shorthair Show Champions), Field Champion Uodibar’s Boss Man, Field Champion Tip Top Timmy, and Jack Shattuck’s famous Rusty v. Schwarenberg (the first Shorthair Field Trial Champion and the first Shorthair Dual Champion; sired by Mars v. Ammertal). Of course, Dr. Charles Thornton was one of the most important importers and breeders of Shorthairs, and among the most potent Thornton Shorthairs in Shameless Heidi’s ancestry are Champion Yunga War Bride and Champion Alnor’s Brown Mike. |
